The other had been told six. Both arches were failing and both patients wanted to know which number was correct. Neither had been told what the number was based on. That second part is the part that matters. The count is not a starting position. It is a result, and it falls out of two things. How much bone is available to work with, and how force travels across a finished arch. Why The Number Of Implants Is Decided Last A full arch plan begins at the finished bite and works backward.
